Time to Get Hungry 02.26.10 - 03:11pm

by Joseph Merkel

After a hard-fought victory over the Indiana Pacers, Jerry Stackhouse didn't mince words: the Milwaukee Bucks need to develop a hungrier mindset.

As Stack told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel right after his 11-point performance in the 112-110 win:

“We can’t be satisfied. We’re not there yet. Just from the standpoint of the franchise going forward, those guys have got to be greedy and want to get in (to the playoffs) and upset somebody.”

When the Bucks traded for John Salmons and signed Stack, it gave the team not only a great veteran presence, but much-needed playoff experience.

Jerry has been in the playoffs seven times and has averaged 14.5 points over 64 games, while Salmons was a strong factor in the Bulls’ playoffs push last year, averaging over 18 points per game.
