Weekend Sweep 03.08.10 - 10:20pm

by Joseph Merkel

Just how prominent a presence Jerry Stackhouse continues to be off the bench could not have been clearer this weekend.

The Milwaukee Bucks swept the Washington Wizards (112-74) and Cleveland Cavaliers (92-85), and for the weekend, Stack was a constant contributor, logging a total of 12 points, six assists, five boards and three steals.

TO THE HOLE

No. 24 and the Bucks continue to take down opponents left and right. Bucksketball.com points out that that lack of a true superstar scorer is make up for by No. 24 and Co., particularly since Milwaukee has become so active offensively.

“Most importantly, the ball never stops moving now. Salmons, Brandon Jennings and Stackhouse are always penetrating, dissecting opposing defenses and kicking out passes to awaiting teammates. The ball movement, the creation of scoring opportunities for more player and general unpredictability of the Bucks offense as it stands is a necessity for a team without a superstar.”
